  Obituary:

Beatrice B. (Kristoff) Palmer, 83, affectionately known as “Grandma Bea” to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, beloved wife of the late Warren R. Palmer, Sr., died July 24, 2009.

Bea was a resident of Westford for 37 years, prior to moving to Groton in 1982.

Bea was born in Manchester CT on December 13, 1925, daughter of the late Paul and Elizabeth (Kaiser) Kristoff, she grew up in Manchester and attended St. James School and graduated from Manchester High School in 1943.

Bea worked as bookkeeper in the family business for many years and enjoyed spending time with her family, having Sunday dinners, reading and was a great storyteller. She also enjoyed gardening and had many hybrid Irises and Daylilies registered with the Horticultural Society.

She is survived by her children: Warren “Rody” Palmer, Jr. and his wife Twila of Westford, Lisa Palmer, John Palmer and his wife Darlene of New Ipswich, N.H., David Palmer, Aprile Palmer, and Henry Palmer, all of Groton, Joel Palmer and his fiancée Anne Babineau, Ted Palmer and his wife Kathryn, all of Westford; Her grandchildren; Titus Palmer and his wife Melissa, Beth Palmer and Dylan Palmer, all of Westford, Max Palmer and his wife Jessica, Sam Palmer and his wife Nicole, all of Littleton, Molley Palmer of Boston, Andrea Walker of Omaha, NE, Ben Palmer of New Ipswich, N.H. Emily Palmer of MN, Rebecca Palmer and Andrew Palmer of Groton, and Clayton Paul of Morrisville, VT; Her great-grand children; Hanna Palmer, Brent Walker, Kayla Palmer, Cole Palmer, Sarah Palmer, Lincoln Palmer, Sophia Palmer, Drea Walker, Fox Palmer, Mason Palmer, Landon Palmer, Carissa Palmer and Jillian Palmer; Her brother: Mark Henry and his wife Mary Ann Kristoff of Quaker Hill Connecticut.

She was also the mother of the late Diane Walker who died in 1989.

At her request, no services were held. Donations in her memory may be made to the charity of one's choice.
