  Birth & Death Dates:
November 1, 1934 - August 17, 2009
  Majewski

Longtime Westford resident

Theodore "Ted" S. Majewski, 74, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family, after a heroic battle with colon cancer. Born November 1, 1934 in Worcester Massachusetts, he was one of five children of Katherine (Kaczmarek) and Stanley Majewski. After graduating from Worcester North High School in 1954 and serving in the Army National Guard, he entered into the U.S. Air Force and was stationed at Ernest Harmon AFB, Newfoundland. Following an honorable discharge in 1957, he attended Worcester Industrial Technology Institute and Saunders School of Electronics. He was employed by Raytheon Corp in Bedford as an Engineering Aide until 1966. For 24 years, Ted worked for Textron Inc. (formerly Avco Corp) in Wilmington as a metrologist (not a meteorologist), until his retirement in 1990. He has been a Westford resident and communicant of St. Catherine Church for 42 years.

Ted enjoyed many years of deer hunting in Vermont and Maine, with his brother-in-law Stanley Kulig. He was an avid outdoorsman and he loved taking his family camping, fishing, hiking and spending summers in Maine. He had a green thumb and enjoyed tending to his vegetable garden. He was knowledgable on many fronts and enjoyed sharing this with his children, nieces and nephews. More recently, going to Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun became a favorite past-time of his. Ted was a devoted family man and the rock in our lives. His sense of humor and wit were qualities that we will not soon forget. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend and his courage, strength and wisdom was an inspiration to us all.

He leaves behind his beautiful wife of 44 years, Carol (Dall); 3 daughters, their husbands and a grandson: Christine and Michael Sullivan and their son Tyler of Temple NH, Anmarie and Cletus Hagg of San Quirino, Italy, and Cynthia and Warren Ryder of Shirley MA. His sisters: Virginia Rusin and her husband Frank of Bayonne N.J., Dorothy Kulig of Millbury MA, Eleanor Croteau and her husband Dr. Gerald Croteau of Taunton MA; A brother: Marty Majewski and wife Ruth of West Warwick RI, and many nieces and nephews. He is pre-deceased by a brother-in-law, Stanley Kulig. He also leaves behind his dear and longtime friends Richard and Patricia Hunt of Littleton MA and Ann and John Wilcox of North Conway NH.
