| Walter W. Gerlach, 86, of Nashua, N.H., formerly of Westford and Edgewater, FL husband of the late Mildred M. (Langley) Gerlach died August 25th in Nashua, N.H. He was born February 16, 1923, in Providence, R.I. a son of the late Oscar W. Gerlach and Carrie G. (Piper) Gerlach. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by Sanders Corporation in Nashua, N.H. Mr Gerlach served many years as a Water Commissioner for the town of Westford. He loved woodworking and traveling around the country with his wife in their RV. Mr. Gerlach is survived by a daughter, Carolyn Oliver of Westford, a son, William Gerlach of Ayer, six grandchildren, John Oliver of Old Orchard Beach, ME. Allison Smith of Tyngsborough, Susan Fenlon of Nashua, N.H., George Dancause and Janet Dancause, both of Leominster, and Billy Gerlach of Ayer, six great grandchildren, Alysha and Jacob Smith, Sean and Emma Rae Fenlon, and Kyle and Claire Oliver. He was also the father of the late Robin Gerlach and Paula Dancause. Friends may call at the Healy Funeral Home, Monday, August 31st from 9:00 a,m, to 10:00 a.m. followed by services at the Funeral Home. Burial to follow in Tyngsborough Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, friends who wish may make memorial contributions in his name to the Westford Food Pantry, c/o Friends of the Cameron Senior Center, P.O. Box 2223, Westford, MA 01886. |
