Eugene (Gene) Salovitch, 76, of Westford, formerly of Lawrence and Methuen died December 20th at Genesis Westford House after a long battle with cancer. He was born in Methuen, June 29, 1933, a son of the late Walter and the late Helen (Borkowski) Salovitch. He attended schools in Methuen and was a graduate of Lawrence Evening High School. A Navy Veteran, he served on Navy Destroyers, known as "Tin Cans", as an Electrician's Mate and was honorably discharged. Prior to his retirement, he worked in the roofing and siding trade as the owner of "Gene's Roofing and Siding" and in later years worked as a Custodian at The Cameron Senior Center in Westford. Gene was a lifelong member of the Disabled American Veterans, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American Legion, and the Franco American Club. He enjoyed sports and was an avid Red Sox Fan. He is survived by a sister, Eleanor Scarelli of Methuen, and many friends. |

| Services: There will be no visiting hours. His funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Catherine's Church, 107 N. Main St., Thursday, December 31st at 10:00 a.m. Burial to follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Lawrence, MA. |
