 Obituary:Franklin Joseph Prescott, 75, of Westford, passed away Wednesday afternoon, March 3rd, 2010 at Leahy Clinic in Burlington after a courageous battle with a lengthy illness. He was happily married to Betteann (Harring) Prescott, with whom he would have celebrated their 52nd Wedding Anniversary on May 30th, 2010. He was born in Lowell, MA on February 19, 1935, the son of the late Franklin N. and Simone (Ducharme) Prescott. He was raised and educated in Chelmsford and attended Chelmsford Public Schools. Mr. Prescott served in the United States Army during the Korean War from December, 1954 to December, 1956. Frank was a former Call Firefighter, serving the Forge Village Station as a member of Company 3. He also worked in construction and was a prison guard in Concord, MA. He enjoyed bowling, dancing, gardening, boating and the ocean. He vacationed with his wife on Cape Cod and Hawaii. He was a member of the local Order of Elks, the VFW, and the Franco American Club. Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons: Franklin J. Prescott and his wife Karen of Westford, Frederick J. Prescott and his wife Cynthia of Townsend, a brother, Robert Prescott and his wife Mary Lou of Chelmsford, a sister Joan Blowey and her husband Joseph of Ashburnham, MA, sister-in-law Lorraine Prescott of N.H. and Kim Piche of Groton. He was the father of David B. Prescott and brother to William Prescott, both whom pre-deceased him. He will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren; Frederick Jr., Katherine and Andrew, Amber Leigh and Robert. |

| Visitations: Visiting hours will take place on Sunday, March 7th from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Healy Funeral Home. |

| Services: A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, March 8th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Catherine’s Church, 107 N. Main St., Westford. Burial to follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. |
