  Obituary:
Harvey R. "Bob" Adams, 72, of Westford, husband of the late Marcia E. (Glynn) Adams died June 5, 2010 in Concord, MA. He was born in Arlington, MA October 6, 1937, a son of the late Harvey B. Adams and the late Doris I. (Tonks) Adams. He spent his early years in Lexington and was a graduate of Lexington High School and graduated from Lowell Tech, currently, UMass, with a degree in civil engineering. Prior to his retirement, he worked in the public sector for several local communities, starting in Somerville, then he became the Junior Engineer in Lexington, before taking the position as Director of Public Works in Lincoln, MA and subsequently in Hudson, N.H. Continuing in his career, he served as Assistant Superintendent of the Wilmington Water Department before retiring from Dufresne & Henry in Westford. Mr. Adams served in the U.S. Army Reserves and was honorably discharged. An enthusiastic Classic Car fan, he was a collector and restorer of a 1931 Roadster, a 1935 DeSoto and a 1965 T-Bird and was a member of the Ty-Rod Club of Westford. Mr. Adams was an avid sportsman and outdoorsman and held membership in the Westford Sportmen’s Club and a member of the NRA. In his leisure time, he enjoyed watching Westerns and War movies. He loved dogs, especially his German Shepherd Nikki, who died last year. He is survived by three sons; Roy Adams and his wife Lynne, Ray Adams, and Ronald Adams, two granddaughters; Rebecca and her husband Robert and Jesse Adams, two great granddaughters; Abigail and Mya, two brothers; Donald Adams and his wife Cindy and David Adams.
  Visitations:  
Friends may call at the Healy Funeral Home, Friday, June 11th from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
  Services:  
His funeral service will be held at the Funeral Home Saturday, June 12th at 10:00 a.m. Burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery Westford.
