| Obituary: George H. Ricard, life long resident of Westford, succumbed after a brief illness. He was the husband of Rita (LaFond) Ricard with whom he was married 57 years. He was born in Westford, December 20, 1931, a son of the late Maxine Ricard and the late Rosa (Brule) Ricard. Mr. Ricard served in the U.S Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was also a member of the Graniteville American Legion Post 159, and a member of the Franco American Club in Westford. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Ricard worked as a Quality Controller for Lucent Technology. He was a communicant and also an extraordinary minister at St. Catherine's Church, Westford. Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Pamela L. Ricard of Jacksonville, FL; a son, Scott H. Ricard and his wife Nancy (Walsh) Ricard and their five children, Alizabeth, Trevor, Kevin, Brett and James of Rochester, NH; he is also survived by two brothers, Viateur "Vic" Ricard and Bernard Ricard both of Westford; Four sisters, Claire Dozois of Dracut, Ma., Theresa L'Heureux of Taunton, Marie Deloge and Bernadette McCarthy both of Lowell. He was predeceased by his sister Ida Finnila, Olivia Pierro and Gerard Ricard. |

| Services: His funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 13 at St. Catherine's Church, 107 North Main Street, Westford at 10 a.m. Burial in St. Catherine's Cemetery. |
