Roland J. Tousignant, 89, a life long resident of Westford, passed away on Tuesday December 15th, 2010 at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. He was born September 6, 1921 in Westford, the son of late Joseph and Rose (Byron) Tousignant. He was the beloved husband of Loretta E. (Gamache) Tousignant with whom he shared 67 years of marriage.

Mr. Tousignant was employed at the Graniteville Foundry for 45 years. He was a member of the Chelmsford Elk's #2310, as well member of the Littleton Westford Elks #1891 where he was the first Exalted Ruler to install his son into the Elks and was also an honorary life member of the Elks.

Most recently Roland spent his days volunteering for the Meals on Wheels at the Cameron Senior Center in Westford and spending time with his wife. He was an avid Boston sports fan, rarely missing a baseball, football or hockey game. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son Ernest R. Tousignant and daughter-in-law Arleen F. (Fields) of Townsend, MA; two grandchildren; Marc E. Tousignant and his wife Charry of Lowell, MA; and Theresa M. Tousignant of Quincy, MA.

He was also the brother of the late Irene Guertin, Cecile Dupras, Rita Staples, Anita Rafferty, Armand and Raymond Tousignant. Also by many nieces and nephews.
  Visitations:  
Friends may call at the Healy Funeral Home on Sunday, December 19th from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m.
  Services:  
His funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Catherine's Church, Westford on Monday at 11:00 a.m. Burial to follow in Saint Catherine's Cemetery.
