 Obituary:Dorothea Young Jordan, 80, formerly of Westford and Barnstable died peacefully on December 22. Dorothea was the beloved wife of Richard E. Jordan for over 54 years and the mother of six children. She was born and raised in Boston to John and Rose Young, sister to Kenneth and Jack Young (now deceased). "Dot" was an active community member, editor of the Westford Garden Club newsletter and a lifelong communicant. For years she taught CCD and sang in the choir at St. John the Evangelist Church, Chelmsford. Dot had a strong acuity for numbers, enjoyed family life, Cape Cod and bridge. A graduate of Bentley College trained in accountancy; she was the business manager at the Nashoba Brooks School. She will be fondly remembered by her children and in-laws: Rick Jordan of Medford, Chris Jordan and Sandy of Westford, Cynthia Jordan Sweetser and Arthur of Lincoln, Jocelyn Jordan Kennedy and Peter of Medford, Glenn Jordan and Peggy of Woodbridge, Virginia, and Paul Jordan of Chelmsford. Her grandchildren will miss her loving presence: Timothy and Melanie Jordan, Theodore, Grace and Asa Sweetser, and Ben Jordan of Chelmsford. |
