Obituary:Norman Frank Swanson, 73 of Westford, died January 15, 2011 at his home surrounded by his family. Beloved husband of Nancy L. Sharpe. He was born in Vermont, a son of the late Harold W. Swanson, Sr. and Lucile (Spaulding) Swanson of Springfield, VT. He spent his early years in Vermont and was a graduate of Rutland High School and Dartmouth College, Thayer School of Engineering. Norman proudly served 3 years in the U.S. Navy and earned the rank of Lt. J.G. Prior to his retirement he worked as a personnel manager for the General Radio Company, worked in Human Resources for Computer Vision and also was a Real Estate Broker working for Thor Realty, DeWolfe NE, and Caldwell Banker. In his spare time he enjoyed bird watching, tennis, walking, snow shoeing, skiing, Soduko and KenKen. He was also a member of the Board of Directors of the U.S.S.. Newport News Museum and Memorial Foundation, and also curator of the U.S.S.. Newport News Museum aboard the U.S.S. Salem in Quincy mass. Besides his wife and mother he is survived by a sister; Linda M. Johnson of Springfield, VT; 2 brothers, Robert W. Swanson of North Port FL, and Gary A. Swanson of Agawam, Ma.; also by many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Harold W. Swanson, Jr. and Rudolph S. Swanson. |

| Visitations: Friends may call at the Healy Funeral Home on Friday, from 2 p.m until 4 p.m and 6 p.m until 8 p.m. |

| Services: His funeral service will be at the funeral home on Saturday, at 11:00 a.m. Burial at a later date. |
