Angelo Joseph “Angy” Cuglietta, of Westford, passed away peacefully on July 22, 2026, at the age of 79, surrounded by his family. He leaves behind a legacy defined by hard work, loyalty, quiet generosity, and a deep appreciation for the simple joys of life.
Born on March 19, 1947, in Littleton, Angelo was the son of the late Anthony Cuglietta and Marie Smith. A lifelong tradesman, he devoted more than 50 years to the plumbing profession. Through his work with Cormier Plumbing and Bigelow Plumbing, Angelo earned a reputation as a skilled craftsman whose integrity, dependability, and strong work ethic never wavered. He retired in 2025, leaving behind a career of which he was immensely proud.
When the workday ended, Angelo embraced the hobbies that brought him the greatest happiness. A true car enthusiast, he treasured his 1969 Chevrolet Camaro, which he proudly owned from the day it was new. He meticulously cared for it throughout the years and loved taking it to car shows, where he enjoyed talking with fellow enthusiasts and sharing the story of being its original owner. The Camaro wasn’t simply a prized possession—it was a reflection of his pride, dedication, and the memories he built throughout his life.
Another of Angelo’s greatest joys was spending time on the water. Countless weekends were spent boating and fishing around Plum Island, creating lasting memories with the boys as they grew up and, in later years, enjoying peaceful days alongside his beloved partner, Patricia.
At home, Angelo found happiness in life’s quieter moments as well. He enjoyed feeding and watching the birds that visited his yard, finding peace in nature and taking delight in the changing seasons and the wildlife that surrounded him.
He is survived by his beloved partner of more than 48 years, Patricia Raneri; his daughter, Darlene Cuglietta; his sons, Kilwin Raneri, Patrick Raneri, and Steven Raneri; Patricia’s daughter, Katherine Ferreira and her husband, David; and his cherished grandchildren, Laura, Nicholas, Bradley, Olivia, Sophia, and Rowan, who brought him immeasurable pride and joy.
He is also survived by his sister, Marie Lund and his brother, Tony Smith. He was predeceased by his sister, Jenny Warchol, and his brother, Danny Cuglietta.
Angelo will be remembered for his quiet strength, steady presence and kind heart, and will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Relatives and friends are invited to Angelo’s Celebration of Life on Tuesday, July 28, 2026 from 10 AM until 11:30 AM at the WESTFORD HEALY FUNERAL HOME, 57 N Main Street, Westford. Burial will the held privately.
