Annette Y. Doucette

With a heavy heart, we announce the passing of Annette Yvonne (Poist) Doucette, who passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2026, at the age of 65.

Born on September 9, 1960, in Laurel, Maryland, Annette was the beloved daughter of the late Tina (Zahar) and William Poist. In her younger years, Annette loved spending time around horses, sharing special moments with her sisters and brothers, and pursuing her passion for gymnastics.

Throughout her life, she approached each challenge with remarkable grace, resilience, and a positive spirit. Her ability to find joy in everyday moments and appreciate the time she shared with others was an inspiration to those who knew her. She will be remembered for her perseverance, compassion, and the warmth she brought into the lives of those around her.

Annette was a devoted mother whose greatest joy in life was her family. She gave of herself freely, offering unconditional love, unwavering support, and a compassionate heart to those she cared for. Her love created lasting memories and a legacy that will continue to live on through the family and friends who were blessed to know her.

She is lovingly survived by her son, Shawn, and his wife, Brooke; her sister, Diane; her brother, Joseph, and his wife Susan; her sister, Denise, and her husband, Peter; her brother, Karl; along with extended family and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.

Though our hearts are heavy with grief, we find comfort in knowing that Annette's legacy lives on through the love she gave, the lives she touched, and the family she cherished so deeply. We take comfort in knowing she is now at peace, free from the challenges she faced, and that her generous heart will never be forgotten.

Relatives and friends are invited to Annette’s Celebration of Life on Saturday, August 8, 2026 from 9 AM until 10:30 AM at the WESTFORD HEALY FUNERAL HOME, 57 N Main Street, Westford. Burial to follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Westford. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that you honor Annette's memory through acts of kindness, by keeping her loved ones in your thoughts and prayers, or by sharing a cherished memory of her with those whose lives she touched. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.
