WESTFORD - Barbara P. (Quinney) Capone, age 74, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 15, 2018 at her home in Westford. For 55 years, she wasthebeloved wife of the late Alfred "Bob" Capone who passed away Nov. 25, 2017.She was born in Lowell on April 4, 1943, a daughter of the late Marjorie (Sayball) Brown. Barbara was a resident of Westford for 54 years and worked at the Westford Water Dept. for several years.Barbara was an accomplished tennis player, having been ranked #1 in New England Mixed Doubles. She worked at the Thoreau Club of Concord for 20 years and coached the UMass Lowell Women's Tennis Team from 1991 to 1997. She enjoyed the outdoors, gardening and weekly breakfasts with her sistersonSaturdaymornings. Above all, Barbara was a caregiver and dedicated wife, mother and grandmother who loved nothing more than spending with her family.She is survived by her three children, Brett Capone and his wife, Ani, of Pembroke Pines, FL, Kris Pantanella and her husband, John, of St. Louis, MO, and Tracy Capone of Westford; six grandchildren, Anthony, Vincent, Tori, Jack, Robert and Lia; three sisters, JudithEvpakand her husband, Frank, of Carmichael, CA, Margo Dallmeyer and her husband, Clifford, of Chelmsford and Sandra Lanier of Tyngsboro; also many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews. She was a sister of the late Waldo Quinney, III.ARRANGEMENTS - Family and friends may gather to honor and remember Barbara at the J. A. HEALY SONS FUNERAL HOME,57 N. Main St., WESTFORD, on Saturday, Jan. 20 from 11 to 2PM. Interment will be private.
