Billy G. Cook, 83, of Westford, beloved husband of Lucy (LaMesa) Cook, died peacefully on April 30th in Concord. He was born October 21, 1927 in Itmann, West Virginia, a son of the late Ulysses Cook and Elizabeth (Dalton) Cook as well as his four siblings; June, Ruth, Brodie, and Jack. Mr. Cook served in the U. S. Army, 101st Airborne Division during the Korean War and was honorably discharged September 5, 1952. Prior to his retirement, he worked for AT&T for 36 years. He enjoyed fishing and gardening and especially, spending time with his family. Mr. Cook was a long time communicant of St. Catherine of Alexandria Church, Westford. Besides his wife of 53 years, he is survived by a daughter; Debra (Cook) Tesell and her husband Jack of Webster, MA, a son; William Cook and his wife Linda of Dunstable, MA, four grandchildren; Ethan and Evan Cook and Tiffany and Chelsey Tesell , and one great grandson; Henry.Friends may call at the Healy Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 3rd from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. His funeral mass will be celebrated Wednesday, May 4th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Catherine's Church, 107 North Main St. Westford, followed by burial in St. Catherine's Cemetery, Westford.Friends who wish may make memorial contributions, in his name to the MA Commission for the Blind, 48 Boylston St., Boston, MA 02116.
