Charles V. “Charlie” Mottola, passed away in his home on Friday, June 6, 2025 at the age of 90. He was the beloved husband of the late June E. (Armstrong) Mottola, until her passing in 2015.
He was born on May 12, 1935 in Boston and spent his childhood in Allston. He worked at Raytheon as an electrical engineer for over 30 years before retiring.
Charlie was a Mason and Grandmaster of Tahattawan Lodge in Littleton.
He enjoyed golf and was an avid jogger and walker throughout his life. He enjoyed spending time with his five grandchildren. Most afternoons he could be found spending time with his buddies at “Nab 1.”
Charlie is survived by his daughters, Diane Mottola of Westford and Pamela Mitchell and her husband, Timothy of Granby, CT; his son, Michael Mottola and his wife, Vivian of Clermont, FL; his five grandchildren, Chelsea, Philip, Neil, Kenny and Cody; his two great-grandchildren, Haley and Ryan; as well as several nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his son, Richard D. Mottola.
Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 from 8 until 9:30 AM at the Westford Healy Funeral Home, 57 N Main Street, Westford. His funeral service will be held immediately following at 10 AM in the West Chelmsford United Methodist Church, Chelmsford. Burial to follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Westford.
