Claudia M. Field

VERO BEACH, FL - Claudia M. (Connell) Field, age 70, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 9, 2017 at Emerson Hospital in Concord, MA after a brief illness surrounded by her loving family. For just shy of fifty years, she was the beloved wife of Jeremy D. Field. She was born in Lowell, MA on April 11, 1947, the eldest child of the late George and Frances (Charlton) Connell. Claudia was a resident of Vero Beach, FL and Gilford, NH and was a former longtime resident of Westford, MA.Claudia was the co-founder of C. J. Field, Inc. In addition she was the Assistant Treasurer of Century Metal Products, Inc. and a former President and Board Member of the Marina Bay Condo Association. She was previously employed at Digital Equipment Corporation in Littleton in the Personnel Department as a Relocation Specialist for seven years. She had also worked at ITEK in Lexington and the Internal Revenue Service in Andover. Claudia thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of her career - especially the many colleagues and friends she met along the way.
Claudia loved to entertain and opened her home and heart to many. You enjoyed a rare gift if Claudia called you a friend! She touched more lives than can be measured. She was creative, had a keen eye for interior design and enjoyed landscape painting. She loved real estate! She was a master organizer and took great pride in caring for all she had worked so hard for. For a petite woman Claudia had the backbone of a giant. She always stood up for what she thought was right. She was a fighter from the day she was born until the day she died. Throughout her illness she amazed us all with her positive outlook, grace and dignity. Ever the caretaker Claudia cared for the elderly, she cared for the sick, she cared for those who otherwise may not have been heard, and she always cared for children - especially "her girls" and eventually "those boys". More than anything her family and friends were her world. Her family will always cherish many happy memories boating on Lake Winnipesaukee, traveling together and longs walks on the beaches of Siesta Key and Pine Point. There is no question Claudia left the world a far better place than she found it.Besides her husband, Jeremy, she is survived by her two daughters, Carrie Field and Sarah Bahia and her husband Carl - the son she never had; her sister Candice Connell; her brother, Henry Connell and his wife, Barbara; two cherished grandsons, Jack and Bryan Bahia; two sisters-in-law, Pamela Connell and Leslie Field; as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews. Additionally, her family would like to acknowledge her very special friends Kathleen Smith, Jill Pais and The Belanger Family.
