LOWELL - Cynthia Ann (Duley) Staples, age 72, passed away on Sunday, April 3, 2016 at home surrounded by her family. For fifty one years, she was the beloved wife of James F. Staples. Her entire life was dedicated to the love and care of her family.
Born on October 24, 1943,and raised in Maynard, MA she was a daughter of the late Harold and Rose (Colombo) Duley. Cynthia resided inLowell for the past three years and was formerly a longtime resident of Westford. She was a communicant and active member of St. Catherineof Alexandria Parish where she taught Sunday school. Shealso volunteeredmuch of her timewith VNA Hospice of Greater Lowellfor nine years andwas a member of the Westford Garden Club.
Besides her husband, James, she is survived by three sons, Michael Staples of Lowell, Mark Staples of Holyoke and Matthew Staples and daughter-in-law, Laura Staples, both of Westford; a brother, Howard Duley and his wife, Evelee of Palm Coast, FL; six grandchildren, Maya, Caleb, Libby, Madison, Samantha, Sophie, and many nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS- Visiting hours will take place at the J. A. HEALY SONS FUNERAL HOME, 57 N. Main St., WESTFORD, on Thursday, April 7, from 4 until 7pm. Her Funeral mass will be held on Friday morning at 10 o'clock at St. Catherine of Alexandria Church, 107 N. Main St., Westford.
