David James Dundas, age 89, passed away Thursday December 3, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family.
He was the beloved husband of Rita L. (Cote) Dundas with whom he was married to for 70 years this past September. David was born in Lowell, MA on January 20, 1931, He was the son of the late John and Jesse (Torrence) Dundas.
In his early years he worked at the Abbot Worsted Co. in Forge Village, MA and retired from Sweetheart Plastics in Wilmington, MA at the age of 62. He enjoyed golfing in his retirement and made golf clubs as his hobby. David loved spending time with his wife Rita and enjoying many family outings with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a long time member of the H.E. Fletcher Club in Westford, MA. He was also an avid fan of the Boston sports teams.
Besides his loving wife Rita, he leaves 4 children; Dennis Dundas and his wife Betz of Nashua, NH, Nancy Lima of Tynsboro, MA, Kimberley Ingalls of Nashua, NH, and Susan Welch and her husband Brad of Nashua, NH. nine grandchildren; David Dundas and his fiance' Tricia Irvine, Jeffrey Dundas and his wife Justine, Michael Lima and his wife Sharon, Jessica (Lima) Pascal and her husband Joe, Austin Healy and his wife Rory, Sarah Healy and her fiance' Brad O'Brien, James Healy and his partner Anna Fusari, Tiffany O'Keefe and her husband Riley, Jason Welch and his partner Ali Towns. David also leaves behind nine great grandchildren Benjamin, Isabel, and Grace Lima, Sydney, Allison, and Will Pascal, Harper Healy, Avery and Adalyn O'Keefe. Also, three late sons-in-law Dennis Lima, R. Ward Healy, and Michael Ingalls.
At the family's request, in lieu of flowers, please make a donation in David's name to the Cameron Senior Center, 20 Pleasant St. Westford, MA 01886
Graveside services will be private at the family's request due to the current gathering restrictions.
