NASHUA, NH -- Deborah H. Stokes, 66, of Nashua, NH died on Thursday, September 26, 2013 in Nashua.
She was born to the late William and Marion Hart on February 19, 1947 in Baltimore, MD. Deborah graduated from Housatonic Valley Regional high school, Falls Village CT, in 1965. She pursued college level studies at Mount Ida College in Newton, MA. At that time, she met her late husband, Joseph C. Stokes Jr. Deborah and Joseph married on August 24, 1968. She later went on to graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in 1978 from the University of Massachusetts. Deborah continued her education to obtain a Masters degree in Special Education from Southern Connecticut State University and taught for several years.
Deborah and Joseph moved from CT to MD in 1989. However, always true New Englanders at heart, they returned home to Leverett, MA in 2000. Deborah enjoyed the quiet solitude of her home with Joseph , her cherished therapy dog, Chloe, and watching her family grow in 2003 and 2005 with the birth of two grand daughters.
Deborah is survived by her daughter and son in law, Jennifer and Daniel Williams, and her two grand daughters, Katelyn and Abby.
Relatives and friends may call at the J. A. HEALY SONS FUNERAL HOME, 57 N. Main St., WESTFORD, on Monday, Sept. 30 from 4 until 7pm. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock at St. Catherine of Alexandria Church, Westford. Interment will be private.
