Dennis G. Marchand, 66, a longtime Westford, MA resident, currently living Rollinsford, NH died unexpectedly at home after a brief illness, on April 29, 2023.


Dennis G. Marchand was born in Westford, September 17, 1956.   He was the loving son of the late Ruth (Morris) and Gerard Marchand.


Dennis was a Westford Academy graduate, class of 1974.  Early in his career he worked as an electronics designer most notably at Wang Laboratories in Tewksbury.  Prior to retirement, Dennis worked for the State of Massachusetts, Department of Environmental Management.


Dennis was a motorcycle enthusiast.  He also enjoyed photography, specifically motorcycle racing and had many photos published over the years.  He was an avid sportsman and enjoyed his time at the family camp at Whetstone Pond, Blanchard, ME.


Mr. Marchand is survived by his sisters, Donna Szopa and her husband Daniel of Kittery, ME; Darlene Conrad of Hudson, NH.  Nieces and nephews:  Jeff Szopa and his wife Jessica of Kittery, ME; Jenna Szopa Intonti and her husband Adam of Hampstead, NH; Jacob Conrad of Clearwater, FL; Ashley Conrad of Hudson, NH, Greg Marchand and his wife Kelly of Shirley, MA, and Brent Marchand of Westford, MA as well as 2 great nephews and 1 great niece.  Dennis is predeceased by his parents, Ruth and Gerard Marchand and his older brother and best friend David Marchand.  


Graveside services will be held at Pine Grove Cemetery, 68Forge Village Rd., Westford MA on Thursday, May 11, 2023 at 10:00 AM
