AYER - Doris G. (Lamy) Joy, age 89, passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at Life Care Center of Nashoba Valley in Littleton after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Robert F. Joy.
She was born in Westford on February 11, 1930, the daughter of the late Noe and Jeanne (Aubry) Lamy. Doris was a resident of Ayer for many years where she was a parishioner of St. Mary Parish.
Prior to her retirement, she was employed as an assembler at Data Terminal Systems in Maynard for many years. She enjoyed dancing and trips to Foxwoods Casino.
Doris is survived by her five children, Robert Joy and his wife, Rita of NH, Kenneth Joy and his wife, Bonnie of Shirley, Donna Rollins and her husband, Bruce of Maui, HI, Daniel Joy and his wife, Jane of Ayer and Linda Conner of Ayer. Also 8 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Michael Joy and sister of the late Rolande Bolduc.
Services for Doris will be held privately.
