Edward J. Kelly

WESTFORD - Edward J. Kelly, age 90, a long time resident of Westford, passed away on Monday December 1, 2014 at Genesis Westford House. For 59 years, he was the beloved husband of Gunthilde "Hilde" (Petzi) Kelly.
He was born in Waltham on June 11, 1924, son of the late Thomas and Mary (Hayes) Kelly.
Mr. Kelly was a World War II Navy Veteran, and later retired from the Air Force in 1967.
After leaving the Air Force he worked for Philco-Ford, Sanders Data Systems, Advanced Computer Techniques (NY), and also worked for several years in Iran, Saudi Arabia, Israel and Turkey on contract projects. He was also employed at Raytheon EDS, Andover, Burlington Service Company, and Wayland Lab.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Roland B. Kelly and his wife, Claudette of Tyngsborough, Frank E. Kelly and his girlfriend, Lisa Fleck of Cambridge; a daughter Barbara R. Giglio and her husband, Robert of Charlotte, NC; four grandchildren, Robert Giglio and his wife Karin, Jessica and Heidi Giglio; and Ryan Kelly; one great-granddaughter, Ava Victoria Giglio; also several nieces & nephews. He was also brother of the late Thomas, James, Charles and Laura Kelly, Margaret Holmes and Mildred Tehan.
ARRANGEMENTS - According to his wishes, services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. IN LIEU OF FLOWERS, donations in his memory may be made to the Westford Ambulance Fund, PO Box 197, Westford, MA 01886. Arrangements by the J. A.
