Elizabeth A. Lehan

April 27, 1933 — May 23, 2016

WESTFORD - Elizabeth A. "Betty" (Bussey) Lehan, age 83, passed away on Monday, May 23, 2016 with her beloved sons, Jeff and Kevin by her side. She was the wife of the late James D. Lehan.

She was born in Boston on April 27, 1933, the daughter of the late Robert and Pearl (O'Halloran) Bussey. Betty grew up in Somerville and was a longtime resident of Westford.

Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a cafeteria aide for five years at the Nabnasset Elementary School in Westfordand also a crossing guard for two years. Prior to that time, she was an office manager at Rust-Lick Inc. of Westford for twenty years.

Betty was a member of the Littleton-Westford Emblem Club. She enjoyed knitting, traveling croswword puzzles, and winning at cribbage, especially when she gave you a "tin hat" aka skunk.

Our family would like to thank Windsor Place of Wilmington for their sincere care and kindness. A special thanks to June, Patti and Julie as well as hospice nurses, Hillary and Trish.

She is survived by her three sons, Dennis Lehan and his wife Kathyof Newburyport, Kevin Lehan of Middleton and Jeff Lehan and his wife Joanne Lehan of Westford; two brothers, Robert Bussey and his wife Roseann of Illinois and Donald Bussey of Ayer; four grandchildren, Danielle and Derek Lehan of Westford and Jae and Tai Lehan of Middleton; also many nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Jack and Jamie Lehan.

ARRANGEMENTS - Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a graveside service on Saturday, June 18 at 11 o'clock at St. Catherine Cemetery, Westford. A Celebration of Betty's Life will immediately follow at the American Legion, Post 437, 114 Dunstable Rd., Westford. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Westford Ambulance Fund, PO Box 197, Westford, MA 01886. Arrangements are in the care of the J. A. HEALY SONS FUNERAL HOME, 57 N.
