Esther F. Greenwood

Esther F. (Van Norden) Greenwood, 79, of Westford, passed away on Thursday, April 19, 2012 at her home in Westford, surrounded by her loving family. Esther was born in Groton, daughter of the late Lamert and Mary (Coburn) Van Norden. She was a 1951 graduate of Westford Academy. Esther owned and operated Greenwood Sewer Service with her husband for many years. She was a charter member of the Chelmsford Emblem Club #541 and was a member of the Chelmsford Elks, 2310. She was also in the Coast Guard Auxiliary and she was a member of the Red Hat Society. She leaves her loving husband, Donald E. Greenwood and her children, Donald E. Greenwood Jr. and his wife Evelyn, James C. Greenwood and his wife Phyllis, Barbara A. Sousa, Bonnie M. Robbins and her husband Dana, Allan J. Greenwood and Carlton A. Greenwood and his wife Catherine, all of Westford, 18 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren and a sister, Ruth Shannon and her husband Harold, also of Westford. She is predeceased by two brothers, Richard Van Norden and Milton Van Norden.Friends are invited to call on Sunday, April 22, 2012 from 3 to 7 p.m. at the J. A. Healy Sons Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Monday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Westford.Donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 N.
