WESTFORD - Genevieve G. (Milot) Simeone, age 83, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 1, 2014 after a sudden stroke. For sixty one years, she was the beloved wife of M. Michael Simeone.
She was born in Lowell on October 22, 1931, a daughter of the late Wilfred and Cecile (Vincent) Milot. Genevieve was a lifelong resident of Forge Village and a communicant of St. Catherine of Alexandria Parish.
During most of her working career, she was a hairdresser at several local hair salons and prior to retiring, she was employed at Westford Day School.
Genevieve was a loving wife and mother who loved nothing more than being with her family. She was an avid golfer and was a member of the Kimball Golf League. She was also a member of the Cameron Senior Center and enjoyed taking trips with her friends to Foxwoods and playing Bingo. She also enjoyed swimming and spent her winters in Fort Myers, Florida.
Besides her husband, Michael, she is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Paula and Jerry Moscariello of Littleton; a brother, Brian Milot and his wife Pat and a sister, Linda Milot, all of Westford; two brothers-in-law, Carl Simeone and Paul Simeone and his wife Terry, all of Acton. Also several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Karen Palmer and sister of the late Viola Luhiank.
Relatives and friends may call at the J. A. HEALY SONS FUNERAL HOME, 57 N. Main St., WESTFORD on Thursday morning, Nov. 6, from 8 until 9:30am. Her Funeral Mass will follow at 10 o'clock at St. Catherine of Alexandria Church, 107 N. Main St., Westford. Interment in St. Catherine Cemetery.
