Ghiorghe Hulea

Professor Ghiorghe Hulea, 82, passed away on January 23rd, 2013 at his children's house in Westford, MA. He was the son of Iorgu and Maria Hulea of Poiana, Galati, Romania. Gica was born in Poiana, Galati, Romania and he lived in Bacau, Romania with his wife, Agurita until 2008 when they came to live with their children in Westford, MA. He was a Math teacher in Romania for more than 30 years and taught Math to many generations of students. Since he retired he was always happy to meet with former students and talk to them about their achievements. For the past few years he met with some of his students here in USA and also in Romania and they were all very thankful for the fact that his teaching opened their minds and gave them better chances to succeed in life. He is survived by his wife, Agurita Hulea, a daughter, Otilia Braescu, a son in law, Remus Braescu, and his beloved grandson, Victor Braescu. Relatives and friends are welcome to call Saturday, January 26 from 2-6 pm at the JA Healy Sons Funeral. A funeral service will be held Saturday, January 26 at 4 pm at the funeral home. Burial will take place Monday January 28 at Pine Grove Cemetery in Westford.
