James M. Dolson

James M. Dolson, age 73, passed away on Sunday, April 10, 2022 at St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua after an extended illness.

He was born in Cambridge on May 21, 1948, a son of the late Robert Dolson and Maude (Bradshaw) Auterio. James was a resident of Lowell for over 50 years.

Prior to his retirement, he was employed with the Highway Department for the town of Westford for many years. He also worked part time for Wyman's Beach Campground in Westford. James enjoyed camping and loved animals, especially his two cats Little Bit and Charlie.

He is survived by his siblings, John Dolson of Chelmsford, Brenda Lewis of New Hampshire, Sandra Gillis and her husband John "Jay" Gillis, III of Vermont and Debra McKenna of Florida. He also leaves many nieces, nephews and dear friends. He was a brother of the late Francis Ingalls.

Arrangements – Family and friends are invited to James' Celebration of Life at the Westford Healy Funeral Home, 57 North Main Street, Westford on Friday, April 15 from 11am to 1pm. A graveside service and interment will follow at 1:30pm at Pine Grove Cemetery, Westford. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lowell Humane Society, 951 Broadway St., Lowell, MA 01854.
