James Lee Phipps

HAVERHILL- James "Jim"Lee Phipps, age 66, passed away on Monday, Sept. 18, 2017 at Wingate at Haverhill after a four year illness, surrounded by his loving family. For thirty eight years, he was the beloved husband of Susan J. (Wenc) Phipps.
Jim was born in Akron, Ohio on November 2, 1950, a son of the late William E. Phipps, Sr. and Nancy (Murphy) Walters. He was a former resident ofWestford where he lived for thirty three years. He attended the Central New England College of Technology in Worcester where he received an Associate's Degree.
Jim was the former President of the Northland Paper Group and Rosenbloom's Party Store in Lowell from 1985 until 2011. He enjoyed readingthe Globe, Herald, and Sun, doing crossword puzzles, going to the casinos, and was an avid fan of the New England sports teams.
In addition tohis wife, Susan, he is survived by his four daughters, Ashley Forman of Winchester, VA; Stephanie Hitchcock and her husband, Jonathan, of The Woodlands, TX; Jamie Gustafson and her husband, Christopher, of Pepperell; Kasey Gomez and her husband, Martin, of Waltham; a sister, Jody Walters Bachandand her husband, David, of Charlton; a brother, Craine Walters of Jackson, MI; six grandchildren, Jaclyn, Bradley, Cora, Kenley, Tatum, and Elise; and also several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late William E. Phipps, Jr.

ARRANGEMENTS - Services will be held privately and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Those who wish, may make a contribution in his memory to the Alzheimer's Association atwww.alz.org. Arrangements are in the care of the J. A. HEALY SONS FUNERAL HOME, 57 N.
