Jason "Whitey" O'Rourke

April 7, 1976 — June 30, 2021

It is with a sad heart that Jason (Whitey) O'Rourke lost his battle with depression on June 30, 2021. Jason had a sensitive caring soul. He adored his family Angela his wife, daughters Sarah and Paula and son Johnny. He was the precious Papa to his grandchildren.
Born April 7, 1976, in Haverhill, Mass to Pam Smyth and Kevin O'Rourke he was raised in Tewksbury and Westford. He attended the Westford schools graduating from Westford Academy in 1994. He had a love for baseball and played on the little league teams for years and received several MVP awards through the years. Famously known for the mullet hair style through the high school years he loved and the loud (extremely loud) sound system he had installed in his car that had tinted windows.
He was extremely close with his Grandpa and Grandma Smyth who helped raise him. Grandpa showed him how to pitch a baseball and dribble a basketball. He took him fishing and would be sure he had money for the ice cream man. He spent a lot of time with his cousins Michelle, Bobby and Johnny. Once he moved with his mom to Westford and his mom met her husband Geoff that he lovingly called the Guvna. He became a part of a blended family and now had a sister (Tricia) and two brothers (Tim and Dave).
Jason was also part of another blended family with Kevin and wife Evie of 40 years. He soon had an additional five siblings Mike, Chris, Rob, Lisa and David.
Jason was a hard worker starting as a pizza wizard at Forge Village Pizza. He then began training for HVAC completing a course at Monty Tech in Fitchburg, Mass. He later received additional training and certification for service tech receiving Mass certification and licensing. He worked several years for Nashoba Sheet Metal in Westford installing heating and air conditioning units. He was the little guy sent to the attics and crawl spaces working his butt off. He continued working hard until his body no longer allowed him to.
He met his wife Angela his soul mate who had two beautiful children John and Paula that quickly came to love and adore him as a father figure. In 2002 they had a miracle of a birth with another daughter Sarah Elizabeth. Jason treasured his family and quickly became a Greek family member coming to know Angela's family her mom Paula, her dad Teddy and her brother, Peter and his wife Melissa her sister's Eva, Victoria, Georgia and several nieces and nephews. The Greeks are huggers and Jason surely appreciated the hugging and love he received from his new family.
In October 2003 he and his family moved from Lowell, Mass to Ashby, Mass.
Jason is survived by his wife Angela, his son John Farley and his fiancé Lindsay Stamas , daughters Paula Farley and her fiancé Joe McGrade , Shantel McGrade and her fiance' Nick Morash and Sarah O'Rourke, his mom Pam Hall and her husband Retired Representative Geoff Hall, his father Kevin O'Rourke and his wife Evie, brothers Tim Hall and his wife Betsy, David Hall and his wife Mary Beth, Mike Waterhouse, Chris Waterhouse and his wife Carrie, Rob Decesare and wife Charlene, David Decesare his sisters Tricia Targ and her husband Joe, Lisa Querci and her husband Joe. Angela's mother Paula Kosmas and father Teddy Kousounadis. Grandchildren Alaina, Thomas, Sean, Eli, Brady, Maverick, Luella and Rose. Cousins Robert (Bob) Smyth and his wife Alicia, Michelle Shultis and her husband Brian, Johnny Stanichuk and his wife Stephanie.
Predeceased are his Auntie Patty Smyth, and Paul (Smytty) Smyth (Jason's middle name sake). And of course his Grandpa John and Grandma Mary Smyth.
