Jeannine A. LeBleu … Loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother

Jeannine A. (Lamy) LeBleu, 93, a longtime Westford resident, passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2022, with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of Donald L. LeBleu, with whom she shared 71 years of marriage.

Born on a farm in St Thomas De Caxton, Canada on July 12, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Alfred and Rose (Milot) Lamy.

Jeannine moved with her family to Westford at the age of 19 where she taught herself English by reading the newspaper and began employment with the Abbot Worsted Mill in Forge Village. It was here that she met the love of her life, Donald LeBleu.

Making her life in Westford, she was a communicant of St. Catherine of Alexandria Church.

Jeannine had various jobs over the years, but her favorite job was that of an elder care attendant caring for local people in their homes. She also enjoyed sewing and never retired from being the unofficial family seamstress.

In the past she enjoyed ballroom dancing with her husband Don, was a member of a bowling league at the Brunswick bowling alleys and spent many summer days gardening and sunbathing. Jeannine and Donald enjoyed nearly 30 winters in Clearwater, Florida, where she was a local shuffleboard champ. Enjoying the company of family was a central part of Jeannine’s life and many evenings were spent chatting or playing Skip-Bo around her dinner table. There were many times her children shared a joke with Jeannine, only to wait for the moment she “got” the joke then all burst into laughter.

In addition to her husband Donald, she leaves four children and their spouses, Suzanne and Robert Lamb of Hudson, NH, Dianne and Alexander Graffeo of Crawfordville, FL, Steven and Roberta (Ella) LeBleu of Townsend and David and Alison LeBleu of Westford; three sisters, Marie Burton of Nashua, NH, Frances Bedard and her husband Bob of Manchester, NH and Yvonne of Three Rivers, Canada; 9 grandchildren, Rob Lorenzatto and his wife Maria, Steven Graffeo, Justin and his wife Julie, Ryan, Shannon, Lucas and Grace LeBleu, Kristen Manoukian, and her husband Michael and Jennifer Mulligan and her husband Donny; seven great grandchildren, Matteo and Liana Lorenzatto, Chase LeBleu, Donnie, Jason, Emaliegh and Hailiegh; also several nieces and nephews. Jeannine is predeceased by her siblings, Donias Lamy, Arthur Lamy, Francis Lamy, and Florence Soucy.
