John D. Dolson

John D. Dolson, 69, passed away on Friday, May 16, 2025. His final moments were spent surrounded by his loving sisters, and daughters.

Born in Cambridge on July 2, 1955, he was a son of the late Robert R. Dolson and Maude E. (Bradshaw) (Dolson) Auterio.

John served with the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War.

John worked as a software engineer until his retirement. After his retirement he started a detailing business in Chelmsford where he had a reputation for being “the best”.

John spent his earlier years studying martial arts, that was his true passion. He loved spending time with his family and friends. His daughter was his world. He didn't miss a chance to golf with his nephews. And he always looked forward to card night with his friends. John had the biggest heart and his family and friends meant everything to him.

He is survived by his daughters, Alicia Dolson and her partner Samatha, and her son Charlie: three sisters, Brenda Lewis of Derry, NH, Sandra Gillis and her husband John of Corinth, VT and Debra McKenna of Port St. Lucie, FL; And several nieces and nephews. He was a brother of the late James and Francis Dolson.

Relatives and friends are invited to John’s Celebration of Life on Tuesday, May 20, from 4 until 6 PM at the Westford Healy Funeral Home, 57 North Main Street, Westford. Military Honors and Funeral Services will immediately follow at 6 PM. Burial will be private.
