John J. Lowrey

John J. (Jack) Lowrey, 81, died November 26, 2011 in Westford. He was predeceased by his wife of 51 years, Mary F. "June" (McShea) Lowrey. Jack was born in Lowell on June 24, 1930, the son of James A. Lowrey and Rosella (Courchaine) Lowrey. He was the former General Manager of the Wannalancit Garage in Pawtucketville and the owner of the Wannalancit Driving School. After dissolving both entities he was involved in multiple enterprises. He vacationed many years in Westford before moving there in 1975. The last few years he vacationed in Wells, ME. Jack and Mary shared nine children, Christine F. Lowrey and her partner Cynthia Shull of Arvada, CO; Robert A. Lowrey of San Francisco, CA; Michael P. Lowrey and his wife Lynn of Tamworth, NH; Janice M. Dennis of Concord, NH; Keith A. Lowrey and his wife Courtney of Pepperell, MA; J. Douglas Lowrey and his wife Kathleen of Springhill, FL. He was predeceased by children, Mark J. Lowrey, Elizabeth A. Lowrey and William J. Lowrey. He also leaves a daughter-in-law, Darleen Lowrey, sisters Ruth O'Hagan and her late husband Thomas O'Hagan and Doris Tereshko and her late husband Jacob and brother Chester W. Lowrey. He was predeceased by 3 siblings and their spouses, J. Harold Lowrey and his wife Marie, Geraldine O'Brien and her husband Hugh and Norman Lowrey. He is also survived by his sixteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews. He remarried Elaine (Cropper) Lowrey and they shared 4 step-children and 10 step-grandchildren.brFriends are invited to attend a memorial service at St. Catherine's Church at 10 a.m. on Friday, December 2nd.
