N. CHELMSFORD - Lorraine M. (Murray) (Carlo) Devine, age 75, passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at her home in Chelmsford after a long illness.
She was born in Cambridge, MA on May 22, 1941, daughter of the late Walter and Antoinette (Fredette) Murray. Lorraine was educated in Lexington Public Schools and graduated from Rose Hawthorne High School in Concord and Middlesex Community College.
Prior to her retirement, she was employed at the Bedford Veterans Hospital for twenty two years as a registered nurse. Lorraine retired from Sunny Acres Nursing Home in Chelmsford.
She devoted her life to her children and grandchildren and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by a daughter, Carol Carlo of Lowell; three sons, Daniel Carlo and his wife, Christine of Nashua, Tony Carlo and his wife, Alison of Methuen, and Richard Devine, Jr. of Falmouth; seven grandchildren, Daniel Carlo, Jr. and Keri Carlo of Hudson, NH, Shane and Dylan Carlo of Methuen, Rachel and Megan Bernard of Dracut and Richard Devine, III of Falmouth; a brother, Walter Murray, Jr. and his wife, Carole of Ashby; also many beloved nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Rita Vick who died in 1973.
ARRANGEMENTS - At her request, Funeral Services will be held privately for close family and friends with a spring interment in St. Catherine Cemetery in Westford.
