WESTFORD - Lucien H. Pepin, age 86, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at Lowell General Hospital. For fifty nine years, he was the beloved husband of Lorraine Y. (Tripp) Pepin.He was born in New Bedford, MA on May 31, 1930, a son of the late Lucien A. and Jeanne (Courtemanche) Pepin. Lucien was a resident of Westford since 1968 where he was a communicant of St. Catherine of Alexandria Parish. He also volunteered much of his time at the Fletcher Library for many years and served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.Lucien was a Quality Engineer with Raytheon from 1957 until his retirement in 1992. Among his many interests, Lucien was a history buff, enjoyed reading, cooking and taught himself how to usecomputers. He also enjoyedswimming, building model ships and was a fan of theBoston Red Sox and old movies.Most of all, family meant everything to him, especially his grandchildren whom he loved taking care of.Besides his wife Lorraine, he is survived by his five children, Richard Pepin and his wife Sandra of Maynard, Diane Koester of Pepperell, David Pepin and his wife Margaret of Malden, Robert Pepin and his wife Rosemaryof Leominster and Carol Bouffard and her husband Thomas of Hopkinton,NH; seven grandchildren, Zoe, Lucas, Julia, Michael, Wyatt, Jack andLydia and was grandfather of the late Audrey; also two siblings, Normand Pepin and his wife Edna of Dartmouth and Therese Andrade and her husband Louis of Valley Springs, CA; also several nieces and nephews.ARRANGEMENTS - At his request, Funeral Services were held privately.
