Mary Lou (Wilson) Jensen

Mrs. Mary Lou (Wilson) Jensen, 88, passed away peacefully at Emerson Hospital in Concord, MA, on Wednesday, December 7, 2022, in the company of loving family.  Born in Concord, NH on July 20, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Shadrack Morrill Wilson, Sr. and Camilla (Farr) Wilson and was one of five siblings: the late Shirley (Wilson) Sabetti, the late John Allen Wilson, the late Shadrack Morrill Wilson, Jr., the late Laurel Ann Wilson and the late Elaine (Wilson) Mullen.

Mary Lou spent her early years at the Wilson family home in Hopkinton, NH until 1943 when the family moved to Waltham, MA. There she met  Kenneth H. Jensen of Lincoln, MA  and they married on May 17, 1958.

Ken and Mary Lou were happily married for  34  years until his unexpected death on September 30, 1992.

In 1965 Mary Lou and Ken settled in Westford, MA, where they could be close to Ken’s brother Bill and his family.  Although Mary Lou and Ken had no children of their own, they were a loving aunt and uncle to many nieces and nephews and provided many happy holiday memories of family gatherings at their home on Patten Road.

Until her retirement, Mary Lou was employed as a Bookkeeper for the LFE Corporation in Waltham, MA.  

Mary Lou enjoyed reading and keeping up with world events and was a proud member of the Daughters of The American Revolution.

At this time the family of Mary Lou would like to express their deepest gratitude to the Community of Westford, especially her neighbors, Kathy and Mike, the Officers of the Westford Police Department, Alison Christopher and the staff and volunteers at the Cameron Senior Center and Karen Wilson of the Forge Village Post Office, for always keeping a caring and watchful eye on Mary Lou’s well being over the many years she and her sister Laurel lived alone in their home.  

Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Mary Lou on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the Congregational Church of Littleton, 330 King Street, Littleton, MA  01460.

Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Westford, MA
