Mr. Michael Talancy, Jr., age 89, a lifelong resident of Westford, died on December 13, 2013 in Ayer. He was the husband of the late Ruth (Zanchi) Talancy who died in 1986.
He was born in Westford on January 1, 1924, son of the late Michael Talancy, Sr. and Annie (Halko) Talancy.
He was a US Army Veteran of World War II, took part in the D-Day Normandy Invasion, and also served as an M.P.
Prior to his retirement in 1986, he was employed as a Packing Inspector in the Transportation Division of the U.S. Army at Ft. Devens in Ayer, MA for over 25 years.
He leaves a son, Michael Talancy, III of Westford, MA.
IT BEING HIS REQUEST, SERVICES WILL BE HELD PRIVATELY WITH SPRING INTERMENT AT RUSSIAN BROTHERHOOD CEMETERY IN WESTFORD.
