Patricia Dale Oppen

LOWELL - Patricia D. (Ericson) Oppen, age 67, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston.

She was born in Fort Lewis, Washington on Sept. 19, 1948, a daughter of the late Alan and Catherine (Norem) Ericson. Patricia was a resident of the Horn Home in Lowell for the past twenty years and was a former longtime resident of Westford. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Chelmsford.

Patricia had a great love of animals and would enjoy visiting them at the Lowell Humane Society. She enjoyed reading, gardening, playing cards and spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of the Home Away From Home of Lowell where she would attend social events.

She is survived by her two children, Robert Oppen and his wife Gabriela of Watertown and Catherine Oppen of Acton; her mother, Jeanne Ericson of Sudbury; a sister, Karen Naranjo and her husband Bob of Mendon; a nephew and niece, Benjamin and Hannah Naranjo; her former husband, Peter Oppen of Newton; also many friends from the Horn Home of Lowell.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Sunday, Nov. 8 at 3pm at the First Baptist Church, 2 Maple Rd., Chelmsford. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Patricia's memory to the Lowell Humane Society, 951 Broadway St., Lowell, MA 01854. Arrangements are in the care of the J. A.
