Paulette D. Kalagher

August 17, 1948 — March 8, 2017

ATKINSON, NH - Paulette Denise (St. Onge) Kalagher of Bonita Springs, FL and Wells, ME died suddenly at The Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston in the presence of her family on March 8, 2017. She was 68 years old.

Born on August 17, 1948, Paulette grew up in Westford, MA in a large, bustling family.Paulette attended local schools then graduated from Mt. Wachusett Community College. She worked for many years at The Currier-Citizen in Lowell, MA.

In 1968,Paulette met the love of her life, RichardF. "Rich" Kalagher – he made quite an impression on her. Upon his return from military service, they married on January 11, 1969 and began their life together. Sadly, Rich predeceased Paulette on June 15, 2016.

When her children were young, she volunteered with the Girl Scouts, the Boy Scouts, andalso forthe school system. As their children grew to adulthood, vacations and time spent with their two children, Kellie and Scott, were the times most important to them both. Kellie’s husband, John, joined the family in 2004, and Kellie and John’s son, Richard, was born in 2005. Paulette’s family meant everything to her.

She was an avid animal lover and, as a result, she always had more than one furry friend living in her home. Also a bird lover, her house was surrounded by bird houses and feeders, with sacks of bird feedstacked nearby.

Her faith was her compass.Paulette was a congregant and steadfast volunteer at St. Leo’s in Bonita Springs, FL. and Holy Spirit Parish St. Mary’s Church in Wells, ME where she lived for part of each year.

Paulette will be deeply missed by her daughter and son-in-law, Kellie Jeanne (Kalagher) and John Lally of Atkinson, NH, her son R. Scott Kalagher of Haverhill, MA, and her very dear grandson, Richard Patrick Lally who makes the best omelets.

She was predeceased by her parents George and Jeanne (Fortier) St.Onge, and six brothers and sisters: Norman "Bucky", George "Skippy", Mona Strom, Jeanne Louise, Richard and Peter. She has two surviving brothers, Robert St.Onge and Kenneth "Blair" St.Onge, both living in TX. She also leaves two cousins with whom she romped in the orchards of Westford: Marc St.Onge of Wells, ME and Marie Louise St.Onge of Kennebunk, ME.
