Phyllis J. (Hannem) Peloquin

March 11, 1949 — August 2, 2021

Phyllis J. (Hannem) Peloquin, 72, a resident of Westford died Monday, August 2, 2021 surrounded by her loving family after a fourteen year battle with Parkinson's.

She was born in Waltham on March 11, 1949 and was the daughter of the late Lillian (Demarais) and Richard Hannem. Phyllis grew up in Watertown, MA and attended Matignon High School and Boston State College. She spent most of her employment contracting for the U.S. Government where her colleagues became her dearest friends.

Phyllis loved to dance and enjoyed gardening and cooking. She was a big fan of David Muir who was lovingly called "her boyfriend" and she never missed an episode of Dancing with The Stars.

Most of all, she loved her family especially her grandsons who even when her mind started to fail, constantly worried about their well being. She was Aimee's first best friend in life and although her illness changed the roles of their relationship, her love and support were always present.

Phyllis is survived and will be deeply missed by her daughter, Aimee Murphy and her husband Lee of Westford; her four grandchildren who lovingly called her "Juh Juh," Luke, Jack, and Adam Murphy of Westford and Gavin Peloquin of Tyngsboro; as well as Team Phyllis: Michelle O'Neil, Kathy Dion, and Jodi Robinson who strived daily to provide the best care and life for Phyllis in her home. A special thank you to Michelle O'Neil for her love and support for over 9 years. She allowed Aimee to be Phyllis's daughter and a mother to her three boys while helping care for her mom. She is predeceased by her sister Barbara Gillis.

Services for Phyllis will be private with her family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Phyllis' memory to the Michael J. Fox Foundation, P.O. Box 5014, Hagerstown, MD 21741.

"Dance like no one is watching, love like you've never been hurt; sing like no one is listening, and live like it's heaven on earth."
