WESTFORD: Mr. Roger J. Forest, age 86, a lifelong resident of Westford, died on Tuesday, April 15, 2014, at Genesis Westford House following a brief illness.
He was born in Holyoke, MA, on July 11, 1927, son of the late Ovila & Leda (Colard) Forest. He served on the US Navy during WWII.
Prior to his retirement, he was employed by the Town of Westford as a custodian for 20 years. Previously he had worked at the mills in Littleton.
He enjoyed camping, and was an avid reader and Red Sox fan.
Survivors include a brother and sister-in-law, Norman & Jannette Forest of Chelmsford and FL; his nieces & nephews, Karen Zaher of Chelmsford, Dianne Barratt of TX, Kenneth Forest and Thomas Forest, both of Chelmsford, and Julie Gyles of Shirley; also many aunts, uncles & cousins. He was also sister of the late Shirley Forest.

His funeral mass will follow at St. Catherine of Alexandria Parish, 107 North Main St., Westford at 11:00 AM. Interment to follow at St. Anthony Cemetery in Shirley, MA.
