LACONIA, NH & BILLERICA, MA: Mr. Steven P. Shackleton, age 62, of Billerica, MA and Laconia, NH, died unexpectedly Dec. 24, 2017 at Lakes Region Hospital in Laconia. For 35 years, he was the beloved husband of Daryl (Dragon) Shackleton.

He was born in Methuen, MA on June 6, 1955, son of the late Donald & Barbara (Moan) Shackleton. He grew up in Salem, NH and also lived in Westford for some time. He was a parishioner of St. Catherine of Alexandria Church in Westford.

Steven earned an MBA from Suffolk University and his undergraduate degree at the University of Arizona. He worked in the banking & financial industry all his life, primarily employed by Fidelity Investments and Santander Bank.

Steven was an avid golfer and enjoyed boating and spending time at the lake. He loved all things sports, whether it was rooting for Boston's home teams or his own children's sporting activities. Above all, he was a family man who always put his wife and five children first.

Besides his wife, he is survived by four sons, a daughter, and two daughters-in-law, Steven P. Shackleton, Jr., and his wife Marissa of Boston, Scott Shackleton and his wife Alexandra of Austin, TX, Sam Shackleton of Newport Beach, CA, Sean Shackleton of Boston, and Stacy Shackleton at UMASS Amherst; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Susan & Jim Sullivan of Tyngsborough, Sally & David Hartenstein of Hampton Falls, NH, Sandra & William Olson of Derry, NH; a sister-in-law, Dawn Devanna of Syracuse, NY; and also many nieces & nephews.

ARRANGEMENTS - There will be no visitation. Relatives & Friends are invited to his Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM on Fri. Dec. 29, 2017 at St. Catherine of Alexandria Church, 107 North Main St., Westford, MA 01886. Interment will be private.
